Servicing
Planned servicing on your yard, from a fleet of equipped vans with engineers the manufacturers trained. Genuine parts, and the examination in the same visit if it is due.
A tail lift works hard and it works outside. Seals perish, hydraulics leak, ramps and rollers wear, and electrics take a beating from salt and pressure washers. None of that announces itself until the lift stops halfway down with a pallet on it.
Servicing on a schedule is cheaper than the alternative, and not mainly because parts are cheaper than parts. It is because a planned visit happens when the vehicle is standing anyway, and a breakdown happens on a Tuesday with a full load and a driver who cannot deliver it.
We service every make we represent and most we do not. Tell us what is on the vehicle and we will tell you straight whether we can look after it.
How a job runs
Off the road once, and back out working
-
1
Tell us the fleet
Vehicles, lifts and where they stand. We build a schedule around your operation, not our diary.
-
2
We come to you
An equipped van on your yard, at a time that keeps the vehicle working as long as possible.
-
3
Serviced with genuine parts
To the manufacturer's own specification, which is what keeps the warranty and the certification standing.
-
4
Records that hold up
A service record, and the examination report and test certificate where those were due.
What we do with them

- 07LOLER examination and weight test in the same visit
Compliance
The lift is lifting equipment
Servicing is not a thorough examination and does not satisfy LOLER. A service keeps the lift working; the examination is a separate legal judgement about whether it is safe to keep using, and it produces a report you must keep. We do both, and doing them together is why most of our customers only lose the vehicle once.
LOLER inspections- 6 monthsWhere the lift raises or lowers people
- 12 monthsWhere it carries goods only
- Written schemeSets the interval instead, where a competent person has drawn one up

Manufacturers
The makes we fit
We are independent, so we can tell you which of these suits the vehicle rather than which one we sell — and we service and repair well beyond this list.
Not sure what is on yours? Send a photograph of the rear and we will tell you.

Common questions
Tail lifts, asked and answered
How often should a tail lift be serviced?
Is servicing the same as a LOLER examination?
Do you service makes you do not sell?
Can you service a whole fleet in one visit?
What if you find something serious?
Do we have to bring the vehicle to you?
Need a lift looked at?
Tell us the vehicle and what it is doing. We will tell you whether it is a service, a repair or an examination that is due.
